The Camino in the Basque Country is extraordinary, both in terms of the paths themselves and the landscapes and towns. Furthermore, the signage is excellent. The route is mountainous for almost its entire length, more so in the province of Gipuzkoa than in Bizkaia, and we must cross up to 10 mountain ranges between 300 and 500 meters high. The landscape is essentially made up of green and humid valleys, large forested areas, numerous streams, farmhouses dedicated to livestock farming, the rugged coastline, and compact villages.
